American Battery Technology's Revenue Surges 407% as US Lithium Ambitions Grow

American Battery Technology reports 407% annual revenue growth and positive adjusted gross profit as it expands US lithium recycling operations. Profitability and production scale remain the next tests.

American Battery Technology Company (NASDAQ: ABAT) is showing signs of commercial progress as it expands its domestic critical minerals operations.
The Nevada-based company reported fiscal 2026 revenue of $21.7 million, a 407% increase from $4.3 million the previous year.
Growth was driven by higher recycling volumes, increased byproduct production and stronger pricing.
More importantly, adjusted gross profit turned positive at $1.7 million, compared with an adjusted gross loss of $6.2 million a year earlier.
Scaling America's battery supply chain
American Battery Technology is developing lithium recycling and refining capabilities to support US battery manufacturing.
The company ended June with $49.5 million in cash and no outstanding debt, providing financial flexibility as it advances production.
However, its $24.8 million cost of goods sold still exceeded reported revenue, highlighting the difference between improving adjusted margins and achieving sustained profitability.
Investor Take: ABAT's rapid revenue growth suggests its commercial operations are gaining momentum. The next challenge is scaling production while improving margins and controlling cash consumption.
Investors should watch quarterly revenue, production volumes and operating cash flow. These will determine whether the company's domestic lithium strategy can become a profitable business.
