Nebraska Rare-Earth Discovery Grows as Apex Reports New Drilling

New drilling has extended Apex Critical Metals’ rare-earth discovery in Nebraska. The results strengthen the exploration case, while a planned 2027 resource estimate remains the next meaningful test for investors.

Apex Critical Metals says new drilling has extended the mineralised Trinity Zone at its Rift rare-earth project in Nebraska by about 200 metres to the west.
One drill hole returned an interval of 116 metres grading 3.55% rare-earth oxides. Another returned 171.5 metres at 2.35%. The results add to evidence that the zone extends beyond the area Apex had previously tested.
The resource estimate is the next test
The US is seeking more domestic sources of minerals used in advanced technology and manufacturing. That gives a potential Nebraska rare-earth deposit a clear strategic appeal.
For investors, though, drilling results are only one step. Apex has not yet published a mineral resource estimate for Rift, and drill-hole grades alone cannot establish how much material could be economically mined.
The company plans to keep drilling and targets an initial resource estimate by the end of the first quarter of 2027. That estimate should give investors a firmer basis for judging the project’s scale. Until then, Rift remains an exploration-stage opportunity with considerable uncertainty.
