SSR Mining’s $464 Million Roxmore Deal Builds Its Nevada Pipeline

SSR Mining’s proposed $464 million Roxmore acquisition adds a Nevada gold project near Marigold. Shared operations could improve development economics, while the targeted 2033 production start keeps costs, permits and execution central.

SSR Mining is buying room to grow beside an operation it already knows.
The company announced on October 13 an agreement to acquire Roxmore Resources in a transaction with an estimated equity value of $464 million, excluding an exploration spinout. Roxmore’s Converse gold project lies approximately six kilometres from SSR’s Marigold infrastructure in Nevada.
SSR plans to fund the cash consideration from its existing balance sheet. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter, subject to approvals and other conditions.
A longer-term production opportunity
SSR sees potential for Converse to add 150,000 to 170,000 ounces of annual gold production, with initial production targeted for 2033.
Initial construction costs are estimated at $800 million to $900 million. The production outlook remains conceptual and depends on drilling, economic studies, permitting and financing.
Investor Take: Proximity to Marigold creates opportunities to share services and reduce costs, giving SSR a strategic reason to pursue the asset.
The investment case depends on the full cost of bringing Converse into production, including the acquisition price. Watch permitting progress, updated development estimates and evidence that operational savings justify the commitment.
Shareholders gain a potential growth project, with meaningful construction spending and production still several years away.
